Flare Sunkist — A Wallet, Marketplace & Confidential Compute App on Flare

Online marketplaces are broken. eBay charges sellers 13%+ in fees before upsells. Auctions are plagued by bid sniping and collusion. Dispute resolution is a black box. And crypto wallets rely on third-party price APIs instead of on-chain oracles.

For the Flare Summer Signal Hackathon, we built Flare Sunkist — a mobile-first Flare ecosystem app that combines a wallet, marketplace, and confidential compute platform. Every price comes from Flare's FTSOv2 oracle. Every transaction uses FLR and FAssets. Every dispute is arbitrated inside a TEE enclave. And the marketplace fee — 1% — doesn't go to a company. Half is burned forever. Half funds public goods.

The Problem

Traditional marketplaces extract value from participants. eBay's 13%+ fee funds shareholders, not the ecosystem. Auctions are public, enabling sniping bots and collusion networks. Dispute resolution relies on human moderators reading your private messages. And the prices you see in most crypto wallets come from centralized APIs like CoinGecko — not from on-chain oracles.

Flare's native protocols solve all of these problems, but nobody had built a complete consumer-facing app that used them together. So we did.

What We Built

🔥 FTSOv2 Oracle — Live On-Chain Prices

Every price in Flare Sunkist comes from the FTSOv2 oracle contract on Coston2 testnet (0x3d893C53D9e8056135C26C8c638B76C8b60Df726). We call getFeedsById(bytes21[]) with 8 feed IDs — FLR, BTC, ETH, XRP, DOGE, LTC, SOL, ADA — and refresh every 30 seconds. A CORS-safe proxy on our VPS relays the RPC call to the browser. No CoinGecko. No Binance API. Just the Flare oracle.

The wallet screen shows a badge: 🔥 Live FTSOv2 Oracle when connected. If the oracle is unreachable, it falls back to demo prices with a clear 📊 Demo Prices indicator. You always know where your data comes from.

⛓️ FAssets — Cross-Chain Assets On-Chain

We resolve FAsset contract addresses at runtime via the FlareContractsRegistry (0xaD67FE66660Fb8dFE9d6b1b4240d8650e30F6019). The flow: Registry → AssetManager → fAsset() → ERC-20 token address. On Coston2, FXRP is live at 0x0b6A3645c240605887a5532109323A3E12273dc7. We query balanceOf() for real on-chain wallet balances and display them directly in the app.

FBTC and FDOGE aren't deployed on Coston2 yet — we handle that gracefully, showing the asset with a not yet deployed indicator rather than failing.

🛒 Marketplace — 1% Fee, 50% Burned

This is the core innovation. Every marketplace sale charges a 1% fee. That fee is split:

eBay charges 13%+ before upsells, and that money goes to shareholders. We charge 1%, and it goes back to the ecosystem. Buyers and sellers fund the network's growth with every trade.

The marketplace supports three listing types: Fixed Price, Auction (3/5/7 day durations), and Hybrid (Buy Now + Auction). Reserve price is optional at 0.5% extra. Every listing shows price in FLR with live USD equivalent via the FTSOv2 oracle. The fee breakdown is visible on every listing detail page — burn amount, philanthropy amount, and the eBay comparison side by side.

🔒 Confidential Compute — TEE Dispute Resolution

Marketplace disputes enter TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) arbitration via Flare Confidential Compute. An AI reviews evidence privately inside the enclave — shipping logs, photos, messages. Only the verdict and a cryptographic attestation are published on-chain. Neither party's data is exposed.

We integrated the live FlareTeeManager contract on Coston2 (0x1a9C4A0f9D76c0b1D91d22E24E573a9b377618aE). The FCC tab demonstrates the full workflow: toggle the secure enclave, generate a remote attestation (RA-TLS), and resolve disputes with AI verdicts and confidence scores.

密封 Sealed-Bid Auctions

All bids are collected inside the TEE enclave. Nobody sees competing bids until the reveal. The enclave computes the winner and publishes only the result — winner name, winning bid, and attestation hash. This eliminates bid sniping, collusion, and price manipulation. It's impossible on eBay, where everyone sees the current high bid in real time.

🤖 Block Scanner

The Agent tab includes a live Coston2 block scanner — block height, gas price, and the 5 most recent blocks with transaction counts and hashes. Auto-refreshes every 15 seconds directly from the Flare RPC. You can verify the block numbers match on the Coston2 block explorer.

Design — Sunkist Orange Soda

We built a custom design system called Sunkist — orange (#FF6300), cream (#FFF8F0), and deep orange (#E85D04). Fizz bubble animations, a glossy soda FAB, and orange pencil-outline token icons drawn programmatically (zero clip art, zero third-party icon libraries). Every screen feels like a glass of orange soda.
